SUMMARY:

Assembles furniture for customer pickup and/or customer home delivery. You will play a crucial role in helping us create positive, memorable experiences for our customers in their homes.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Uses warehouse equipment to move furniture into shop area for assembly.

2. Reads and follows directions for assembly.

3. Inspects furniture to make sure no damage and all parts included for assembly.

5. Follows work orders and prepares furniture for loading onto delivery trucks.

6. Assists with warehouse organization to maintain safety and orderliness at all times.

7. Must wear all required safety equipment.

8. Use tools including power tools for assembly.

9. Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to perform work independently or as a team to successfully complete the duties of the job satisfactorily.

Ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals with attention to detail.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Three (3) months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work requires the ability to lift and carry items with or without assistance of another person or equipment. The use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity are necessary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push/pull, or balance weight for extended periods of time. May use dolly type equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may operate common warehouse equipment using proper safety procedures to eliminate any potential hazards.
