Job Description:
Security dispatchers must be able to actively listen to various types of communication messages transmitted. They need
to be able to express themselves in an appropriate and professional manner, demonstrating good judgment and quick thinking.
Dispatchers are responsible for maintaining records, monitoring staff and equipment location, and handling communications with clients and personnel. They must possess excellent communication, decision making, listening, multitasking, accuracy, time management, and computer skills.
Essential Functions:
High volume call center
Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their response.
Use radio, phone, or computer messages to dispatch mobile units to appropriate locations.
Prioritize inbound calls according to urgency and importance.
Receive emergency (911) and non-emergency (311) calls and record details for reports.
Enter all data obtained from calls or radio traffic into reporting software.
Maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information and respond to emergency situations or specific client
needs
Assess guard or caller request and provide accurate information or solutions.
