Fasteners Inc. is seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative for its Las Vegas location. The Customer Service Representative receives (by telephone) requests for quotations, orders, and lead times from customers. Makes quotations on standard items, writes orders, and relays pertinent order information to customers. Coordinates with other departments in handling purchase orders and providing service to customers. This role is one of the key steps for anyone interested in a career path in Sales.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities

  • Receives telephone requests for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from customers, original equipment manufacturers, and distributors.
  • Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service.
  • Uses NetSuite system to retrieve customer information, stock status information, the status of purchase orders, and to make changes on customer purchase orders. Ensures that correct codes are used for retrieving and inputting information.
  • Follow up on inquiries by checking computer for delivery information.
  • Handles the needs of customers, always striving to exceed customer expectations.
  • Maintains punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
  • Protect and maintain confidentiality of company trade secrets and other confidential and proprietary information including, without limitation, customer information and sales data.
  • Support a culture of collaboration, lead by example, and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Some travel required for hands on product and application training.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Skills/Desired Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, well organized.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Strong industry product knowledge and ability to communicate technical aspects of products to a variety of customers.
  • Able to comprehend and carry out detailed instructions.
  • Able to work independently and use effective problem-solving skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Intermediate to expert in using NetSuite.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required with advanced knowledge of Excel preferred.
  • May be required to work Saturdays.
  • Some travel required; less than 10%.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent
