PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop is currently looking for a DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS (w/ RESTAURANT experience) to oversee our 6 corporate Capriotti's locations in Reno, Nevada!

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Previous multi-unit experience is REQUIRED to demonstrate a broader understanding of multi-unit leadership needs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position directly supervises General Managers of the assigned areas/locations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive positive guest experience by educating General Managers on Capriotti's service experience standards; utilizing the CAPTrack system, and coaching and developing teams on CAPtivating Service and recapture Service Recovery.
• Conducts final interviews for hourly team members in order to develop bench strength and sustain the Capriotti's culture.
• Assists managers in targeting and nominating in-shop trainers; following the trainer certification process. Monitors the teams' progress in utilizing CAP University in order to ensure consistency in performance, product preparation, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Develops General Manager/Assistant Manager business and financial acumen through consistent review of financial reports and other available market data.
• Ensures brand initiatives are communicated throughout region/locations (e.g., all marketing collateral positioned or removed accordingly, changes to product or operational standards/specifications, team training requirements).
• Assists in the completion of team discipline and performance responsibilities for assigned region/locations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is a field position, requiring 80% of your time in the region/locations and 20% of office time for administration, planning and organizing time. This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift 50 pounds, and tolerate cold/hot temperatures (walk-in cooler/freezer and grill).

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Approximately 90% of the time, the Area Manager will be in a restaurant environment; 10% of the time will be in an office.
