The Salvation Army (TSA), Adult Rehabilitation Centers (ARC), is a no-fee program to assist men & women in completing our drug/alcohol rehabilitation program. Our employees contribute to the maintenance and effectiveness of the program, which provides a greater sense of purpose and opportunity.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

The Lead Sales provides customers with the best selection, exceptional service, and well-organized stores to support our spiritual, social, and rehabilitation programs. The role involves working closely with the management team on daily tasks for the TSA Family Store, including but not limited to meeting sales and income targets, fostering a positive environment, and implementing Work Therapy Assignments (WTA).

  1. Partner with the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening/closing, POS, inventory management, merchandising standards, and donations.
  2. Manage daily store operations in the absence of the Store or Assistant Manager, including personnel and cash handling, and communicate concerns to the District Sales Manager.
  3. Assist in monitoring and analyzing performance indicators to drive sales and profitability aligned with budgets and goals.
  4. Schedule staff shifts, conduct team meetings, and provide coaching and training, especially during absences of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
  5. Ensure high customer and donor satisfaction, developing strategies to enhance service quality.
  6. Support Back Room Processing to meet daily processing goals.
  7. Supervise and report on program Beneficiaries involved in Work Therapy.
  8. In the absence of management, oversee store security, including cash, inventory, and property.
  9. Maintain safety protocols per ARC policies and regulations, reporting incidents promptly.
  10. May be relocated based on business needs and complete tasks assigned by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one year of retail experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Pass background check including criminal and sex offender registry.
  • Effective communication skills with management, staff, customers, and donors.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects like carts, merchandise, and equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.

PAY AND BENEFITS:

This part-time position offers $14/hr for 25 hours per week, with opportunities for career growth, paid sick leave, store discounts, referral bonuses, and other perks.
