Our client, a growing industrial safety solutions company, is looking for a strong and strategic General Manager to lead their Nevada division. You'll be stepping into a high-impact leadership role with full P&L ownership, a talented (but evolving) team, and the opportunity to take the reins of a division with serious growth potential.
This isn't a "coast and maintain" type of environment. It's complex, fast-moving, and filled with moving parts—from sales expansion and team development to operational optimization and customer engagement.
What You'll Be Driving:
Full accountability over sales, operations, and team performance of a multi-million dollar business unit.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Lead collaboration between sales, project delivery, logistics, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution across the business unit.
- Serve as the go-to liaison between field teams, inside sales, and technical operations to resolve issues and align priorities.
Reporting & KPI Management
- Develop, track, and report on key operational KPIs (on-time delivery, project margins, customer satisfaction, etc.).
- Drive continuous improvement through performance reviews, root-cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
- Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, and freight carriers to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
- Negotiate supplier terms and manage cost-saving initiatives across procurement.
Systems & Process Optimization
- Evaluate and improve operational workflows (order fulfillment, project coordination, quoting, etc.).
- Lead CRM/ERP system usage compliance and adoption across the team.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities for repeatable tasks.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Work closely with finance to build annual and quarterly operating budgets.
- Monitor monthly P&L performance and adjust plans proactively to hit targets.
Talent Development & Culture
- Oversee all hiring, onboarding, and training within the division.
- Lead performance management processes and succession planning.
- Shape a strong culture of accountability, communication, and results.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all projects and operations meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee contracts, warranties, and operational risk exposures with legal or executive teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years in B2B technical sales (industrial, construction, engineering, or manufacturing)
- 2-3 years of experience leading teams and running a business unit or territory
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and operational skills
Must-Have Experience:
- 7+ years in B2B technical sales (industrial, manufacturing, construction, or engineered products)
- 3+ years leading teams with full P&L responsibility or regional/business unit oversight
- Proven experience in scaling sales teams and developing go-to-market strategies
- Solid understanding of operational workflows: sales operations, fulfillment, vendor management, logistics
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce, Zoho, or similar)
- Strong financial acumen: experience building forecasts, managing budgets, reviewing P&Ls
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into plans
- Effective team builder and coach
- Excellent communication and leadership presence
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced environments
- Results-driven with a focus on accountability and scalable systems
Bonus Points For:
- Experience in safety, fall protection, or specialty construction products
- Knowledge of Lean/continuous improvement or Six Sigma principles
- Experience implementing or optimizing ERP/CRM tools
- Background in both sales and operations leadership
