Store Manager

As the Store Manager, you will provide leadership, direction, and development to the store staff and successfully execute company strategies to ensure a consistent peak brand experience. Your primary responsibilities include determining and maintaining optimal staffing levels, recruiting, hiring, educating, and motivating a team of brand advocates to create a best-in-class customer experience aligned with our brand's purpose and values. You will set an example for customer engagement and sales, maximize store profitability by controlling expenses, protecting assets, and ensuring store standards for customer care, merchandising, operations, sustainability, and community participation are maintained.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Achieve store sales goals and promote productivity by monitoring progress and results against targets.
  • Promote excellent customer service by modeling brand standards and engaging with customers to create authentic experiences.
  • Manage store schedules, loss prevention, audits, expenses, and ensure policies are followed.
  • Support marketing events and community relationships to increase brand awareness and traffic.
  • Provide coaching and training in customer service, brand identity, product knowledge, and operations.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and store inventory.
  • Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team, including succession planning and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and uphold the company's values of diversity and inclusion.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of multi-unit leadership or store management experience.
  • Experience in people and performance management.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales and profit targets.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and customer service delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High-volume retail experience, outdoor apparel or equipment background.
  • Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.

Physical requirements include operating office equipment, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using ladders. Travel less than 10% of the time.
