Location: Las Vegas, Nevada (Primarily remote work, with occasional in-person visits to patients as needed.)
Type: Full-Time
Hourly Rate: $35/hour + Bonus scale based on approved skilled nursing hours

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Resource Liaison to join our team. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for EEOICPA (Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act) claimants, assisting them in navigating the claims process through the Department of Labor (DOL). This includes educating claimants about Part B and Part E benefits, supporting them in gathering and submitting required medical documentation, and collaborating with medical providers to ensure compliance with program guidelines. Additionally, the Resource Liaison helps resolve medical billing and pharmacy issues to facilitate seamless access to healthcare services.

This role involves building strong relationships with healthcare providers, doctors, and adult living facilities, as well as hosting luncheons to foster community engagement and partnerships. The position is primarily remote but requires occasional in-person visits to patients. Willingness to travel within the service area is necessary to effectively support claimants and community partners.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare coordination, patient advocacy, claims processing, or a related field. Or Sales experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting
  • Knowledge of EEOICPA, DOL claims processes, and healthcare billing procedures (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex processes clearly.
  • Proficiency in Google Drive and electronic documentation systems.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate resources efficiently and effectively
  • Willing to travel and visit patients in person when needed
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional travel to meet with claimants or providers.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate of $35/hour
  • Bonuses for approved skilled nursing patients (scale when patient hours reach specified thresholds)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Claims Support & Education:
  • Educate claimants and their families on EEOICPA benefits, specifically the differences between Part B and Part E.
  • Guide claimants through the claims process, ensuring they understand eligibility requirements and necessary documentation.
  • Assist in the completion and submission of medical records and other required paperwork to the DOL.
  • Provide ongoing support to claimants throughout the claims process, addressing questions and concerns.
Medical & Pharmacy Assistance:
  • Assist claimants with resolving medical billing issues, working directly with healthcare providers and insurers.
  • Facilitate the resolution of pharmacy-related concerns, including authorization and medication coverage under EEOICPA benefits.
  • Advocate for claimants to ensure they receive appropriate and timely medical care covered by the program.
Medical Provider Coordination:
  • Educate medical providers on EEOICPA guidelines, billing processes, and required documentation for claims.
  • Act as a liaison between claimants, healthcare providers, and the DOL to ensure efficient communication and compliance.
  • Provide training and resources to medical staff regarding claim-related procedures and program requirements.
Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all claimant interactions, case progress, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor updates to EEOICPA policies and regulations to ensure claimants receive the most accurate information.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to provide comprehensive support to claimants and medical providers.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in an office setting, with occasional travel required for meetings, training, or outreach.
  • Some remote work may be permitted based on company policies and claimant needs.
Performance Expectations:
  • Provide timely and accurate support to claimants navigating the EEOICPA process.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with claimants, healthcare providers, and DOL representatives.
  • Ensure accurate and organized documentation of all claimant interactions and case progress.
