We are seeking a strategic, operations-focused General Manager to lead The Deck at Ellis Island Casino, a premier rooftop venue that combines dynamic programming, curated experiences, and elevated guest engagement.
The General Manager of The Deck is responsible for leading day-to-day operations with a strong focus on labor management, inventory control, operational execution, and venue programming, while ensuring alignment with Ellis Island's hospitality standards.

The ideal candidate is a driven, hands-on leader with sharp operational instincts and a background in fast-paced, guest-focused environments like nightlife, hospitality, or entertainment.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of venue operations at The Deck, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and event/programming functions.
- Ensure all operational standards are consistently met or exceeded, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional rooftop environment that complies with all health, safety, and gaming regulations.
- Oversee service execution and operational flow to ensure a seamless and elevated guest experience during daily service and special events.
- Effectively manage labor and staffing levels to meet business demands and budgetary goals.
- Foster a positive, accountable team culture focused on collaboration, consistency, and operational excellence.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to support team development and retention.
- Respond to guest concerns or service issues in a timely and professional manner, always prioritizing guest satisfaction.
- Develop and execute programming and venue activations that drive engagement, increase visitation, and align with The Deck's brand identity.
- Maintain full control of inventory operations, including ordering, tracking, and cost control across all departments.
- Monitor venue performance and analyze financial reports to identify opportunities for improvement and cost efficiencies.
- Ensure departmental budgets, labor goals, and cost controls are consistently met while maintaining high service standards.
- Partner with cross-functional departments to support special events, seasonal programming, and integrated guest experiences.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and local laws, including gaming, health, and labor regulations.
- Oversee the implementation and enforcement of all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
Skills / Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in high-volume food and beverage hospitality operations, preferably within nightlife, event-focused, or entertainment-driven environments.
- Demonstrated success managing labor costs, scheduling, and staffing in high-volume operations.
- Strong understanding of inventory systems, cost control procedures, and vendor management.
- Experience planning and executing programming and events in hospitality or nightlife settings.
- Ability to lead diverse teams in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accountability, communication, and service excellence.
- Must adhere to company appearance and uniform standards.
- Ability to have a flexible schedule with the availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Must possess and/or have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Food Handlers Card.
- Must possess and/or have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada TAM Card.
- Must possess and/or have the ability to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Registration Card.
- The ability to submit to and pass a background check and drug test is required.
