General duties include welding 14g to 18g on sheet metal, setting up and operating equipment to weld parts of sheet metal according to blueprints or product specifications, testing and adjusting equipment relying on knowledge and 100% MIG welding skills and 80% TIG welding skills, reading prints, work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, reading welding symbols, aligning components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamping pieces, performing periodic checks on output; measuring completed parts to verify conformance to specifications such as but not limited to; squareness, heat penetration, and distortion of materials, using measuring instruments at 100% accuracy relying on full working knowledge and experience, maintaining high level of productivity and producing quality parts, operating and calibrating spot welding equipment according to various material thickness, performing daily and weekly cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks to maintain equipment performance and prevent machine downtime, working under minimal to no supervision, operating and calibrating stud welding equipment according to various stud sizes, identifying equipment, production and/or parts issues; troubleshooting issues with management and appropriate personnel, setting up programming for machines.
Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2-3 years of experience with welding operations, preferably TIG, experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.), and the ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.

Job type is full-time, hourly, and schedule is an 8-hour shift, day shift, Monday to Friday, with overtime available.
