Custodial Workers perform general cleaning services to State facilities using various cleaning equipment and materials to provide a safe, hygienic and orderly work environment.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others. The Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health (SNAMHS) is recruiting for a Custodial Worker II. This position is in the housekeeping department, located at Rawson-Neal Psychiatric Hospital, 1650 Community College Dr. in Las Vegas. Duties include performing various tasks related to restroom maintenance; cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, seclusion rooms, medication rooms, nursing stations, conference rooms, utility rooms, office areas, and various areas related to in-patient and out-patient care; maintaining carpets, hard floors, walls, windows, vents, light fixtures, and touchable surfaces; emptying trash receptacles, clean trash receptacles, and transport trash to containment areas. This position will act as a Lead, reporting to the Custodial Supervisor with staffing and housekeeping projects.
