Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join their client's team in Nevada. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse, with a focus on inventory management, order fulfillment, and maintaining a clean and organized facility. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the distribution of medical devices and supplies, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:

Purpose: The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse by performing a variety of tasks, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility. This role supports the distribution of medical devices and supplies, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.

  • Inventory Management: Ensure the accurate tracking and organization of all incoming and outgoing medical devices and supplies, including labeling, scanning, and logging of items.
  • Order Fulfillment: Assist in picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. Ensure the correct products are selected and meet quality standards before dispatch.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Unload deliveries, inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies, and record relevant details for inventory control.
  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to optimize workflow and ensure safety. Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, and packaging machines. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations, especially when handling medical devices.
  • Stock Replenishment: Monitor stock levels and communicate with the Warehouse Manager to reorder medical devices as necessary, ensuring inventory is always stocked and accessible.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment. Ensure proper handling of medical devices to prevent contamination or damage.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all shipments, receipts, and inventory movements using warehouse management software or manual logs as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff, shipping carriers, and the sales team to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of products.
  • Assist other departments as needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certifications or training in warehouse operations or logistics preferred.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably in the medical or healthcare industry.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
  • Knowledge of Bill of Lading
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle medical products safely and accurately.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and proper handling techniques for medical devices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
  • Knowledge of medical device regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO standards) is a plus.
  • Experience with barcode scanners, shipping software, and other warehouse tools is preferred.

Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office. One or more years' experience using Microsoft Outlook. Applicant should be proficient in working with Windows operating systems and adept at learning new software applications.

Must possess the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos; ability to write correspondence; ability to effectively communicate with superiors, vendors, prospects, clients, and the public.
Physical Demands:
  • Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry heavy items, up to 50 lbs, on a regular basis.
  • Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
  • Reaching and Bending: Frequent reaching, bending, and squatting may be required to retrieve or store products.
  • Climbing: Ability to safely climb ladders or step stools to reach higher storage areas.
  • Manual Dexterity: Must possess manual dexterity for handling medical devices and operating warehouse equipment.
  • Endurance: Physical stamina is required to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
Work Environment:
  • The Warehouse Assistant will primarily work in a warehouse environment.
  • The noise level may vary from moderate to loud, depending on warehouse activities.
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work Hours:

Monday to Friday, 1st shift.

Pay rate: $20.00 per hour.
