Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Inventory Management Responsibilities

  • Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy.
  • Support pharmacy inventory management activities: receiving, counting, ordering, facilitating returns.
  • Champion On?Shelf Availability; manage receiving, counting, pricing, and returns for all in?store inventory processes and validate planograms.
  • Review and coordinate reports and system applications to ensure accurate front?end and pharmacy on?hand balances and pricing.
  • Maintain front?end and pharmacy asset protection techniques and file claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods including prescription drugs.
  • Open and close the store in the absence of store management, handling all system start?ups, cash handling, and cashier responsibilities.

Customer Experience
  • Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience, especially when serving as leader on duty.
  • Model and share customer?service best practices with all team members.

Operations
  • Coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes, including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
  • Scan all deliveries while vendors are in the store, focus on One Box receiving, and handle missing deliveries or errors by contacting vendors and opening tickets.
  • Verify pharmacy shipments are posted and complete or verify postings of all pharmacy orders daily.
  • Execute On?Shelf Availability end?to?end process, including disposals, call?ins, and vendor returns before expiration.
  • Perform pharmacy inventory activities such as recalls, vendor returns, and excess inventory returns.
  • Execute pricing activities: price changes, markdowns, and regulatory pricing tasks.
  • Support front?end and pharmacy ordering, monitor manual orders, maintain consigned inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and on?hand quantities across departments, stockroom, and pharmacy.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws for regulated products.
  • Prepare for physical inventory and support day?of activities.
  • Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised.
  • Assist and coach team on package delivery activities and support Pickup Program.
  • Handle sales, POS operations, returns, voids, and cash drops when acting as leader on duty.
  • Comply with company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete additional assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development
  • Attend company trainings and complete all e?learning modules, including safety training.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid pharmacy license/certification as required.

Communications
  • Serve as a liaison between management and team members, coaching and developing capabilities.
  • Communicate assigned tasks, report disciplinary issues, and customer complaints to management when acting as leader on duty.

Qualifications
  • Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal) or one year of prior retail experience (external).
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Achieving expectations rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal only).
  • Attention to detail, multitasking, and execution skills.
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer?service associate.
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file.
