Quality Control Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Overview

This position plays a vital role in the success of PepsiCo by ensuring that all ingredients and finished products meet our high-quality standards. You will oversee a dedicated team of Quality Technicians, focusing on cost efficiency, continuous improvement, and safety within the business unit during your shift.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and process knowledge in areas such as water treatment/wastewater, product batching, testing, and supplier evaluation.
  • Maintain familiarity with production equipment and understand how it impacts product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety pre-requisite programs including GMP, sanitation, documentation, and regulatory audits.
  • Stay updated on process improvements and technical advancements.
  • Develop team capabilities through effective hiring, training, and communication with both management and frontline employees.
  • Empower the team to address day-to-day operational challenges and meet performance goals.
  • Lead change initiatives while minimizing impact on personnel.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve operational issues effectively.
  • Motivate team members to achieve operational goals.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
  • Oversee regulatory audits and inspections, including AIB, FDA, and ISO F2200 standards.
  • Administer company policies and procedures effectively.
  • Maintain regular, predictable attendance on the plant floor.
  • Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. as required.
  • Be prepared to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
  • Occasionally operate forklifts and manufacturing equipment.
  • Willingness to work off-shift and weekends as needed.
  • Some travel may be required (less than 5%).
  • Work a rotative schedule of 2-2-3, from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The expected salary range for this position is between $64,300 - $107,650, depending on your location, skills, experience, and education.
  • Bonus opportunities based on performance (target payout is 8% of annual salary).
  • Paid time off packages include parental leave, vacation, sick leave, and bereavement, subject to eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or a similar field.
  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in quality control within a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably in consumer packaged goods.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Skilled in giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Ability to lead a collaborative, team-oriented decision-making process.
  • Experience working in a results-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building abilities.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis.
