Foreman Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction
• Strong supervisory background in public works, including sewer, water, and storm drain projects
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
• Proven ability to coordinate and communicate with owners, engineers, inspectors, and field crews

Foreman Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site representative, coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with contract requirements
• Lead and supervise construction laborers and operators, overseeing daily activities and task assignments
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations, modeling and promoting safe work practices
• Manage field operations to deliver projects efficiently, safely, and within budget
• Oversee work planning, material needs, logistics, and documentation
• Mentor, train, and develop crew members, supporting onboarding and ongoing skill development
• Provide input on employee performance and resolve crew issues professionally and promptly
