Personal Care Assistant (PCA)Job Summary:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The PCA will work closely with clients to promote their well-being, independence, and comfort in their homes or in residential care settings.Key Responsibilities:Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety at all times.Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance emotional well-being.Assist with meal preparation and encourage proper nutrition.Manage medications as per prescribed schedules and maintain accurate records.Support clients with light housekeeping tasks and organization of living spaces.Recognize and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.Collaborate with family members and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care.Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Personal Care Assistant preferred.Previous experience in a caregiving role is an advantage, but not mandatory.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with clients of various backgrounds.Empathy and patience when dealing with clients' needs and challenges.Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks in a timely manner.Must pass a background check and have CPR/First Aid certification (can be obtained after hiring).Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and assist clients as needed.Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.Working Environment:Home settings, assisted living facilities, or healthcare institutions.Flexible hours, with opportunities for part-time or full-time schedules.If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals who require assistance and are eager to provide high-quality care, we invite you to apply for the Personal Care Assistant position in the state of Nevada.
