Description:

Parking Ambassador

It is the responsibility of the Parking Ambassador to provide guests with assistance and excellent guest service while maintaining a consistent image. Responsible for taking payments for vehicles already parked and directing patrons into open spots. Respond to guest inquiries regarding parking procedures and property information. Operates the Garage Parking Control System and cash register. Maintains an acceptable appearance and treats customers and guests courteously at all times.

Top 5 Specific Job Functions:

  1. Operate the cash register/pay station currently used by the Company
  2. Process both cash and credit card transactions as necessary, and be able to make change for Customers and Guests
  3. Transport and protect Company funds and assets, cash handling
  4. Reconcile the parking funds at the beginning and end of each shift as required
  5. Set up parking cones, directional signs, event signs, and other traffic direction devices as needed

Other Specific Job Functions:

  • Provide traffic direction and control as needed and directed by the Security Supervisor
  • Work closely with other Booth Attendants, Security Officers, and other Security staff
  • Perform other job-related duties as required
  • Devote himself/herself to ensuring the satisfaction of customers
  • Assists guests by giving directions and answering questions in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Follow lawful directions from supervisors
  • Know and understand the federal, state, and local requirements that govern the company's business
  • Understand and follow work rules and procedures
  • Interact well with others and be a positive influence on employee morale
  • Uphold the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
  • Work evening, weekend, and holiday work hours as required
  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Plaza Company-wide culture and demonstrating Championship Service Standards at all times
  • Notify Security of all disturbances as well as observe, report, document, and take action as directed. Immediately notify Security of all accidents on Plaza premises

Required:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Ability to meet the company's production and quality standards.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Maintain all required work cards, including proper work authorization, at all times.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Ability to deal with violent situations by verbally defusing them and notifying Security immediately.
  • Computer literacy preferred.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent guest service and hospitality skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and listening skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual abilities preferred.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to multitask several activities and duties simultaneously.
  • Ability to function and act independently.
  • Ability to work well with people, in a team environment, and to communicate effectively both written & oral.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

Work Schedule/Hours:

  • Part-time days and hours (to be determined).
  • Work evening, weekend, and holiday work hours as required.

Work Conditions:

  • Work is typically in an area that may be unusually hot, cold, or noisy.
  • Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access, or in a parking lot with moving vehicles.
  • Some tasks are performed from both a sitting and a non-sitting position.
  • Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
  • Other tasks include the maintenance and care of the assigned area.
  • Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the physical ability to access all areas of the facility; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing at least 50 lbs. without restriction.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
  • Most work tasks are performed indoors; however, there are events where outdoor activities are required. Indoor temperatures are moderate and controlled by internal environmental systems.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and noisy environment.
