Description:

Surveillance Operator

It is the primary responsibility of the Surveillance Operator to observe, document, and report on all activity on property in order to protect property assets as well as guests and team members.

Position Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Responsible for operating all surveillance computer equipment.
  • Perform observation to ensure all team members and guests are complying with NGCB regulations, MICS, state ordinances, and company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for reporting all violations and suspicious behaviors to supervisors, verbally or in writing.
  • Responsible for ensuring all surveillance equipment is functioning throughout their respective shift.
  • Responsible for observing and reporting activity viewed on CCTV.
  • Maintain the integrity of the casino games.
  • Ensure property is compliant with Nevada Gaming Control Board standards.
  • Responsible for safeguarding property assets from both internal and external theft and fraud.
  • Create accurate and thorough reports.
  • Work with internal audit to ensure compliance.
  • Work with human resources for card access badge configuration.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of fraud detection techniques.
  • Ability to solve routine problems.
  • Ability to stay neutral in dealing with employee and/or manager grievances.
  • Must be able to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of gaming regulations.
  • Ability to identify different denominations of gaming chips and currency.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written English.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to successfully work with a team.
  • Nevada gaming license required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time in a darkened room.
  • Must be able to work in a casino environment with smoke, loud noises, and low lighting.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours, including holidays.
  • Ability to move around work area effectively and efficiently.
  • Must be able to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
