Patient Support Specialist - Pharmacy Benefits Location Las Vegas, Nevada | Onsite COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE $18-$20 per hour Schedule: 9am - 6pm PST, weekend OT rotations required Training: 7:30am - 4:30pm PST ROLE IMPACT The Patient Support Specialist - Pharmacy Benefits plays a critical role in ensuring patients and pharmacy partners receive accurate, timely support regarding prescription benefits and claim inquiries. Success in this role means resolving issues on the first contact whenever possible, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering a professional, patient-centered experience across multiple communication channels. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and pharmacy partners via phone, email, and chat Research and resolve prescription claim issues, benefit questions, and coverage inquiries Support prior authorization and benefits-related requests with accurate documentation in internal systems Clearly explain pharmacy benefit information, coverage details, and next steps to patients Escalate complex or sensitive cases to the appropriate internal teams for resolution Requirements High School Diploma or GED required At least 1 year of experience in customer service, healthcare support, call center, or pharmacy operations Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Primarily desk-based role requiring extended periods of sitting Frequent use of computer systems, dual monitors, phone headsets, and standard office equipment Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching as needed Preferred Skills Experience supporting pharmacy benefits, insurance verification, or healthcare claims Familiarity with CRM, ticketing, or case management systems Bilingual communication skills Legal Notice This position may require successful completion of pre-employment screening, which may include background checks and/or drug testing in accordance with applicable laws.
