Patient Care Assistant

Become an integral member of our healthcare team as a Patient Care Assistant, serving as the essential first point of contact for high-quality patient care. In this role, you will seamlessly blend administrative duties with hands-on patient support, engaging in various tasks and moderate complexity operations to enhance overall patient interactions and ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical tasks such as discussing symptoms, gathering information for electronic medical records, taking vital signs, administering injections, conducting diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, and drawing blood. Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and exam rooms.
  • Work collaboratively with Physicians and Nurses to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Provide direct patient assistance within the scope of your active certification.
  • Make informed decisions according to departmental policies to execute assignments effectively.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage your time with minimal supervision while adhering to established guidelines.
  • Apply independent judgment within standard policies and practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant, having completed an accredited training program, or possess over 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in phlebotomy and medication/vaccine administration.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Position requires direct patient interaction and participation in the Tuberculosis screening program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Value Based Care, including familiarity with HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and patient experience measures.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with a proficiency exam required for foreign language communication.

This position is a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.

Compensation: Salary ranges from $44,900 to $60,200 annually, with opportunities for bonus incentives based on personal and company performance.
