Summary Of Position

The Senior Production Scheduler works with Sales and Production to effectively manage and maintain the inventory management systems and assist in customer driven inventory stocking programs. This role will be responsible for actively supporting company goals in the analysis of business operations that minimize company cost, maximize process efficiencies, and improve the customer experience. This position will engage in cross departmental communication in order to provide analytical support for continuous supply chain improvement.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates production paperwork and production results and communicates with the supply team to ensure timely and accurate production reporting.
  • Assists Ops team to coordinate plant service providers, including account review, special purchases, and service issue resolutions.
  • Manages the plant barcoding program to design and implement required customer labeling requirements.
  • Reconciles negative inventories of finished goods and raw materials. Investigates and resolves any outstanding variances.
  • Handles management of warehouse transfers. Responsibility for reconciliation once confirmation has been received from the outside warehouses.
  • Responsibility over the reconciliation process of weekly cycle count of packaging materials.
  • Works with warehouse to perform audits of daily raw material and finished goods cycle counts.
  • Coordinates and manages the quarterly inventory of oil and partial locations.
  • Responsibility over the process of product scrap requests from Operations, QA, and Warehouse.
  • Manages the barcoding hardware (Scanners and printing hardware).
  • Inventories all units and monitors each units performance.
  • Coordinates the service for any units with the hardware provider.
  • Works with plant personnel to troubleshoot any connection issues.
  • Liaison to corporate IT to be the "in plant" contact for all barcode scanning hardware.
  • Assures all scanning hardware is up to date and connects properly to the network.
  • Assists corporate IT to troubleshoot barcoding wireless network throughout production and warehouse.
Required Skills, Education, And Experience

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:

  • Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and 5+ years relevant experience in an analytical role; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • Strong expertise in Excel is required.
  • Must be skilled in computer and software applications, which are critical in order to effectively execute the job. i.e., Microsoft Suite, Adage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of supply chain process flow and customer relations from a supply chain perspective.
  • Barcode scanner literacy & ability to troubleshoot network connectivity with the assistance of corporate IT.
  • Strong understanding of reporting systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Must display an aptitude and eagerness for learning and developing new business and technical skills quickly, strong problem-solving skills, show initiative, great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
