Position Summary
We are a growing manufacturer of electrical components seeking an experienced Machine / Mold Shop Production Manager to lead daily operations of our machine and mold shop. This role is responsible for managing production schedules, supervising shop personnel, ensuring quality standards, and maximizing efficiency-particularly within a Haas CNC machining environment.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge, proven people-management skills, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of the machine and mold shop
Plan and manage production schedules to meet delivery, quality, and cost targets
Supervise, train, and develop machinists and shop personnel
Ensure safe operation of all equipment and compliance with company and OSHA standards
Optimize machining processes, tooling, and workflows for efficiency and quality
Troubleshoot production, tooling, and machine issues (Haas CNC equipment)
Coordinate with engineering, quality, and management teams
Monitor KPIs, scrap rates, uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Proven experience managing a machine shop or mold shop production environment
Hands-on experience with Haas CNC equipment (mills and/or lathes)
Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and shop best practices
Experience leading and developing production teams
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in electrical component or precision manufacturing
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
CAM/CNC programming knowledge (a plus, not required)
