Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager is a strategic and hands-on partner supporting multi-unit fine dining restaurant operations across multiple states. This role leads employee relations, compliance, performance management, and leadership development while ensuring consistency in HR practices across locations. Working closely with General Managers, Executive Chefs, and regional leadership, this position plays a critical role in strengthening organizational culture, mitigating risk, and elevating leadership capability—while honoring the unique identity and standards of each concept within the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining portfolio.
What You'll Do:
Multi-Unit Leadership & Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary HR partner across multiple fine dining restaurant locations
- Lead complex employee relations matters, including sensitive and high-level issues
- Conduct thorough investigations and ensure fair, consistent outcomes
- Identify trends across locations and proactively implement solutions
- Coach General Managers, Executive Chefs, and leadership teams on performance and people management
Performance Management & Talent Development
- Drive the performance management lifecycle across all assigned units
- Develop leaders through coaching, feedback, and structured development plans
- Partner with regional leadership on succession planning and high-potential talent growth
- Ensure consistency in performance standards while honoring each concept's identity
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (CA, NV, FL, HI, NY)
- Lead audits across payroll, scheduling, timekeeping, and wage & hour practices
- Partner with senior HR and legal on high-risk or escalated matters
- Uphold company policies with consistency and integrity
Workers' Compensation & Safety
- Oversee workers' compensation programs across all locations
- Manage claims, identify trends, and mitigate risk
- Partner with operations on return-to-work programs and accommodations
HR Operations & Data Integrity
- Maintain accuracy across HR systems, including UKG Pro
- Audit and improve HR processes for consistency and scalability
- Balance standardization with operational flexibility across diverse locations
Training, Engagement & Culture
- Ensure onboarding experiences reflect brand standards from day one
- Partner with operations to align training with fine dining service excellence
- Facilitate leadership training and development initiatives
- Drive engagement and retention strategies across a diverse workforce
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in hospitality or restaurant environments
- Proven success supporting multi-unit or multi-location operations
- Strong expertise in multi-state labor law, especially wage & hour and tipped employee regulations
- Experience managing complex employee relations and investigations
- Ability to influence and coach senior restaurant leadership
- Highly organized, adaptable, and solutions-oriented
- Bilingual Spanish is a strong plus
- Experience with HRIS systems (UKG Pro preferred)

Physical Requirements- This role is primarily performed in an office environment and involves extended periods of sitting, computer work, and frequent communication. While sedentary, the position also requires occasional physical activity, including handling files, accessing storage areas, and using step stools or similar equipment to reach materials. The employee must be able to lift and move files as needed and perform basic bending, standing, and organizational tasks.
Work Conditions- Travel includes regular local visits to support multiple restaurant locations, as well as periodic out-of-state or overnight travel based on business needs, training requirements, new-opening support, or operational priorities. Some work may occur in outdoor or off-site environments depending on event or training activities.
