Driver / Warehouse Associate

The Driver / Warehouse Associate is primarily responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely transportation of ASTOUND equipment and materials using company vehicles, including box trucks and flatbeds. This role also supports warehouse operations to ensure efficient staging, loading, and return of assets for events, exhibits, and environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company box trucks and flatbed trucks for local and regional deliveries and pickups.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment and materials in compliance with safety standards and DOT regulations.
• Confirm freight details prior to departure, including quantities, condition, and destination, to ensure accurate and complete deliveries.
• Verify accuracy of loads and delivery documentation.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report mechanical or safety issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean driver's abstract and represent ASTOUND professionally while operating company vehicles.
• Follow assigned routes, delivery schedules, and job priorities.
• Assist with warehouse tasks including staging, pulling, packing, and returning materials.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as required.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and loading areas.
• Support load-ins, load-outs, and onsite logistics when required.
• Communicate clearly with Warehouse staff and Project Managers regarding delivery status and logistics needs.
• Follow all instructions from department Manager and senior team members.
• Flexibility in schedule including extended hours or weekends may be required.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract required.
• Proven ability to safely operate box trucks and flatbed trucks.
• Strong focus on safety, reliability, and accountability.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Clear communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Commercial driving experience with box trucks or flatbeds.
• Experience loading, securing, and transporting freight.
• Warehouse or logistics experience in a production environment.
• Forklift or material-handling equipment experience (certification an asset).
• Experience supporting events, tradeshows, or scenic production environments.
