Description:

Placement Counsel is seeking a 1st to 6th+ year associate litigation/transactional attorney for a mid-sized law firm with offices in Nevada (Las Vegas), California, Arizona, North Carolina, Texas, and New York. Job Summary:

The associate attorney will join the firm's Las Vegas, Nevada, office The ideal candidate will have 1-6+ years' experience handling business transactions and litigation, possess excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines, and regularly exercise independent judgment.


Duties

  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties.
  • Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc.
  • Review case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action.
  • Work as part of a team with all levels of experience.
  • Routinely communicate with clients.
  • Cultivate relationships with the firm's existing and future clients.
  • Comply with all the firm's standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Skill/Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of transactional and litigation procedures
  • Excellent legal drafting, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to be detail-oriented, diligent, and flexible.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to think and act independently, and with minimal supervision.
  • Committed to maintaining integrity and confidentiality on behalf of clients and the firm.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.


Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited institution by the American Bar Association with a Juris Doctor degree.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada and in good standing with the Nevada State Bar.
  • Must have 1-6+ years' experience.
