The ideal candidate should possess strong culinary skills, a flair for presentation, and the ability to entertain guests while maintaining food quality and safety standards.QualificationsRole and Responsibilities:* Prepare and cook teppanyaki-style dishes including meats, seafood, vegetables, and rice.* Perform tableside cooking and entertainment, showcasing knife skills, fire tricks, and engaging guest interaction.* Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and safety.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the teppanyaki station and kitchen area.* Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to kitchen management.* Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.* Collaborate with other kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth service.* Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest requests or special dietary needs.* Proven experience as a Teppan Cook, Hibachi Chef, or similar role in a Japanese or Asian-fusion restaurant.* Strong knife and grill cooking skills.* Outgoing personality and comfortable performing in front of guests.* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.* Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Additional Information* Culinary training or certification.* Experience with Japanese cuisine and teppanyaki-style cooking.* Multilingual abilities (especially English and Japanese) are a plus.Westgate Resorts is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
