The General Manager ("GM") leads all aspects of Thermogenics' business operations for our Halmar location. The GM will maintain a strong emphasis on outstanding boiler parts sales results and customer service. The GM will provide leadership, management and coaching to all personnel in the Business Unit ensuring the existing customer base and employees are retained, new customers are acquired, and Thermogenics' products are effectively sold throughout the country. The GM is an experienced leader with a proven track record of gaining credibility from their team and customers, driving process improvement and results within a boiler parts sales operational setting.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
The GM is responsible for driving boiler parts sales growth and managing a team within a customer-focused environment. Working through their team and in collaboration with Thermogenics' Operations, Human Resources and Finance, the GM is responsible for maintaining a safety first culture, fostering employee engagement and satisfaction, meeting financial and operating objectives, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and driving profitable growth and expansion nationwide. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline; MBA or equivalent experience is considered an asset.
Strong understanding of the boiler, HVAC, or industrial services sector, focusing on experience with parts sales, including applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
Minimum 710 years of progressive leadership experience managing sales teams or business operations in an industrial or service-based environment.
Proven ability to drive revenue growth through sales efforts, new customer acquisition, and retention strategies.
Demonstrated success in managing P&L responsibility, setting and achieving operational/financial targets, and implementing KPI-driven performance management.
Strong track record of building and maintaining client relationships, delivering service excellence, and resolving customer issues.
Skilled in hiring, developing, and retaining personnel; able to foster employee engagement and a safety-first culture.
Experience leading organizational change initiatives, improving business processes, and introducing best practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/CRM systems; experience with IFS or ADP is an asset. Strong financial acumen, negotiation, and communication skills.
