The Windows & Cloud Senior Engineer will primarily be focused on the applications and systems running in our on-premises Windows, cloud bases Microsoft Azure, and our AWS environments. The ideal candidate would be someone who understands client / server applications and the underlying technologies. The Allegiant Operations Team is responsible for supporting All Allegiant Air's customer-facing IT systems and services.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
Years of Experience:
Minimum two (2) years of experience with AWS.
Active Directory, on-prem, and cloud experience.
Microsoft, (Azure, Windows, AWS) or VMWare Certifications.
Previous airline experience.
Participate in the identification, implementation, and support of tools and processes that will allow the organization to effectively manage the on-prem and cloud networked environments.
Ensure availability, scalability, and security requirements are met with on-prem or cloud deployments.
Stay current in the latest cloud trends, best practices, and service offerings.
Research and evaluate new cloud service offerings, particularly around networking, security, and monitoring/telemetry.
Participate in the development standards, policies, and procedures for operational support of the network infrastructure, with a focus on cloud networking.
Work with other systems and security teams to operationally support the cloud environment and troubleshoot and resolve critical issues.
Maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure support documentation (Diagrams, Standards, Policies & Procedures).
Participate in regular team and project meetings.
Participate in the Change Advisory Board (CAB) approval process.
Participate in disaster recovery preparations and failover testing exercises.
Participate in regulatory compliance audits.
Participate in vulnerability management and patching of on-prem and cloud-based systems.
Strong knowledge in support of IIS.
Oversee monitoring systems WUG, Nagios, CloudWatch.
Maintain backup and recovery systems/methods and support both on-prem and in the cloud.
