• Must be available 6:00 PM – 8:00 AM, Monday–Sunday, including mandatory overtime as needed. Once you are hired on perm they will work a schedule out with you.

Growing Las Vegas meal prep company is hiring a Meal Prep Team Lead to drive performance, accuracy, and food safety in our high-volume meal prep kitchen. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maximizing production while maintaining uncompromising quality and compliance standards. Required Experience

• License/Certification: SNHD Food Handlers Card (Required)

• 1+ years of kitchen or food production experience

• 1+ year in a leadership role in a food service or production environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume meal prep or commissary kitchen operations

• ServSafe Manager Certification

• Experience training and developing staff

• Experience meeting production targets in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient in Microsoft programs

The Portion Lead is responsible for portioning meals in accordance with food production procedures and systems established by Foodie Fit. Portioners are also responsible for performing other food service tasks complying with sanitation and food safety guidelines

including but not limited to cleaning, sanitizing, and conducting food safety checks. The position also requires assisting the Portion Supervisor in oversight of the kitchen/ portion room. The portion lead will be responsible for maintaining health regulations, maintaining production logs, assisting in staff training, and completing checklists in the absence of the supervisor.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Basic arithmetic skills, basic computer skills, proactive understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint), advanced understanding of food safety, advanced understanding of health code regulations, SNHD Food Manager Safety Card, working understanding of OSHA safety and health standards, leadership skills, organization skills, ability to communicate in English.

Physical Demands and Environment

· Constantly work around kitchen equipment.

· Constantly move across the kitchen.

· Constantly in an upright stationary position to assist in portioning and other kitchen activities.

· Constantly detect safety warnings from other employees.

· Constantly exposed to temperatures between 50 and 65 degrees

· Constantly exposed to major food allergens

· Frequently move carts of food across facility.

· Frequently communicate with staff on shift.

· Frequently observe staff and identify mistakes.

· Frequently inspect quality and accuracy of meals.

· Occasionally detect flavors and textures of food.

· Occasionally position self to bottom shelves and under tables

· Occasionally ascend to top shelves to gather ingredients.

· Occasionally transport food weighing 30lb.

· Occasionally exposed to temperatures between 33 and 41 degrees Fahrenheit.

Work hours and schedule:

  • AM Portion Leads need to have availability from 2:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Sunday.
  • * PM Portion Leads need to have availability from 6:00 pm to 5:00 am Monday through Sunday.
  • *Overtime will be required for this role if business levels demand it.
  • *Your assigned shift will not change unless otherwise approved for transfer by a designated supervisor.

Event Staff/Food Service

When working in Event Staff or Food Service Position through Bluecrew, you may be expected to do any and all of the following:

  • Working independently or in a team to cook, prepare, serve, or transport food items
  • Engaging with customers while operating a point of sale machine or cash register in a professional and courteous manner
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cooking equipment, or other items at the start or end of your shift
  • Work on your feet, either stationary or constantly moving for the full shift
  • Reaching, crouching, bending over, and other physically strenuous activities at times, as required by the immediate supervisor
  • Comfortable working in a busy and at times hectic environment
  • There may be a specific dress code, but if it is not listed, please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and pants.
  • Note for that for any event staff position that requires handling food, you will need to follow GMP guidelines which include keeping your hair up, neatly trimmed fingernails, and you may be required to cover any facial hair.
