Are you ready to power the network behind one of Las Vegas's most trusted news sources? KTNV, The E.W. Scripps ABC affiliate in Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking a Network Engineer who will design, implement, and maintain the critical network infrastructure that keeps our station connected and our content flowing. You'll play a vital role in ensuring network performance, scalability, and security while collaborating with IT teams and business units across our organization.
Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).
Configure and manage switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
Participate in network upgrade projects including data center modernization, firewall replacements, and SD-WAN deployment.
Implement network security best practices including access control, segmentation, and compliance monitoring.
Maintain documentation of network architecture, diagrams, and configurations.
Provide on-call support for critical issues and participate in incident response.
Collaborate with vendors, ISPs, and internal teams to resolve connectivity and infrastructure issues.
Participate in change management and follow ITIL/ITSM processes.
BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent year of experience preferred
Generally, 3+ years of experience in related field preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and adept to managing priorities
Strong team player with a customer-focused mindset
Hands-on experience with enterprise network hardware preferred
Proficient with routing protocols and switching technologies
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network monitoring tools
Experience with Juniper SRX firewalls is essential
