Security Supervisor Armed

Job Description:

The Security Supervisor oversees the Security Officers that are on his/her shift and ensures that corporate/departmental policies and procedures are being followed.

Job Focus:

Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

• Oversee and direct Security Officers regarding the safety and security of guests and employees
• Walk all areas of the hotel/casino to assist guests and Security Officers
• Communicate with Security Officers and guests to ensure a positive guest experience
• Interact with other departments, employees, and guests to ensure proper security issues are addressed
• Handle administrative issues including scheduling, attendance, and training
• Protect company assets by ensuring Security Officers are performing their duties
• Review the appearance of the Security Officers as they clock in to ensure they meet the company's appearance standards
• Communicate with the Security Manager and Security Assistant Manager regarding the daily operations of the Security department
• Operate a two-way radio to communicate with Security Officers and the control room

Desired Qualifications:

MUST have a valid Clark County Nevada Concealed Weapons permit

One (1) year of previous Security Supervisor experience is required

Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a very high paced and stressful environment

Ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts

Ability to work under pressure, maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude

Ability to follow directions, excellent organizational skills

Working knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment

Function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines

Handle a fast-paced frequently changing environment

A valid Nevada Gaming License and Alcohol Awareness Card are required and must be obtained before entering this position

Must be 21 years of age or older
