Manage all events and teams from beginning to end and closely monitor all areas involved.
Plan and direct processes of communications and planning of the banquet and catering events to meet our clients' Expo and departmental expectations.
Responsible for maintaining inventory and reducing any overstock of product.
Assist catering department with planning and execution of show related functions - Be familiar with any event orders each day of shows, any beverage or non-related beverage orders.
Responsible for attending BEO meetings and communicating equipment needs with equipment manager as needed.
Attend all tie-down meetings and pre / post con meetings, as necessary.
Gather Show Information: Move in/out and show dates, show hours, location, decorator, number of attendees and exhibitors, and number of booths.
Schedule and supervise banquet bartenders.
Enforce Expo and departmental policies and procedures.
Hire, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel the banquet beverage team.
Create a professional and supportive relationship with key clients / show management.
Create a team work environment with all members for shared events.
Monitor all related e-mail, phone and radio communications and follow up accordingly.
Clearly describe, assign and delegate responsibilities for all events and shows.
Communicate with retail department regarding retail bars on shows.
Set up of retail and banquet bar areas.
Responsible for product and bar equipment going in/out of the liquor room.
Responsible for ordering beer, liquor, wine, mixers.
Collects all related information on food and beverage requirements.
Training for all banquet bartenders.
Show Management requirements, divide booth teams for bars.
Collects all related information on food and beverage requirements.
Oversees and is responsible for the planning, event execution, and post execution activities for all banquet groups.
Maintains a high presence/high touch rate on the floor to ensure the group receives the highest quality experience for non-alcohol and bar events.
Supports and encourages the department through acts and deeds.
Builds strong relationships with new and repeat clients that create a lasting impression, help drive loyalty and repeat business.
Adheres to the standards in communicating all details of agreed functions to client and the internal team involved with servicing the event.
Review Daily Group Log as soon as it is published and follows up on issues/concerns noted.
Must be able to assist the department to optimize both function profitability and guest satisfaction.
Establishes productive customer relationships encouraging repeat business while maximizing revenue.
Communicates with all departments as required by the client's needs maintaining effective relationships with all staff and departments.
Responsible for providing union call paperwork to HR and follow up on staffing needs.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 25 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks assigned.

Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat potentially noisy environment. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Must be able to frequently move freely about the office, maintain manual dexterity to access computer via computer keyboard and operate office equipment, such as telephones, copiers, fax machine, etc., withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction.
Ability to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and be able to access all areas of the property.
Minimum Requirements:
Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule.
Must possess a valid Health Card and Alcohol Card.
21 years of age.
Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
Must be able to obtain and maintain any required card, certification, or license as required by law or policy.
