M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic I FuelsPrimary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Conducts daily Fuel shop operations. Assists with troubleshooting. Maintains, services, andinspects aircraft fuel systems, components, and related support equipment. Removes, installs, andconducts functional tests of repaired aircraft systems and components. Inspects and identifiesaircraft for corrosion prevention and repair. Reads and interprets manufacturers and aircraft'smaintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specificationsto determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damagedcomponents. Performs periodic and other hourly or calendar inspections as required. Receivestechnical guidance from Managers, Supervisors, Leads or higher-level technicians as required.May be required to assist with writing/initiating engineering technical assistance requests. Maybe required to obtain and maintain special certifications required by AFI as directed bymanagement. Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or equipmentmaintenance, enters maintenance actions into applicable MIS system and will make entries informs, logs, records, or electronic equivalent as required. Complete all assignments and tasks asdirected by managers, supervisors, leads, and more senior technicians.Qualifications and Experience:Minimum of 4 years performing as a USAF or sister service fighter aircraft Fuel System technician.Working knowledge of MIS systems, forms documentation and strict adherence to aircrafttechnical data is required. All fuels personnel must be able to pass a color vision test. Must beable to obtain and maintain respirator qualification.Working Conditions:High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirableMust speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data andspecial operating instructions in the same language.Must be willing to deploy to support off-station requirements.Performs housekeeping duties within 100 feet of assigned work areas (excluding bathrooms).Performs vehicle use inspections, cleaning, and wash.Performs any other supportive duties as assigned.Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher, if required).Must be able to, if required, obtain, and maintain a government driver's license. If controlledmovement area (CMA) access is required must be able to pass color vision test.Environment ranges from office, hangar and flightline and requires extensive climbing, standing,stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.May be required to work in other work sections throughout the contract.M1 Support Services is an equal opportunity employer.
