As an Security Officer you are at the tip of the spear when it comes to the advanced security solutions we provide our clients every day./ppSpecific benefits include:/pulliRecognition and Reward Programs./liliTraining and Career Development./liliOpportunities for Medical, dental, Holidays, vacation and sick, and 401 (k) retirement plan./liliUniform and equipment provided/liliAdditional benefits vary depending on position./li/ulh3Job Description/h3ullipMinimum Requirements Armed Officer/p pEach Armed Security Officer to be assigned to the account must meet or exceed, at least, one of the following criteria:/p p(a) Armed Security Officer or military law enforcement or corrections experience one (1) year minimum./p p(b) Military experience of four (4) years with an Honorable Discharge./p p(c) Military deployment, combat arms experience of two (2) years, with Honorable Discharge./p p(d) Graduate of a Law Enforcement academy/p/li/ulh3Work Environment and Schedule/h3ulliJob operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors./liliPosition requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities./liliOpen availability Nights, Weekends, Holidays and overtime as directed(overtime occurs)./liliWork various shifts and Holidays as assigned./li/ulh3Expected Responsibilities:/h3ulliPatrol on foot or vehicle observing and maintaining the security protection including at client facilities, stations, bus stops, and at public areas to detect evidence of damage, misuse or theft; issue written warnings, make citizens arrests./liliPrevent the public and unauthorized individuals from entering all restricted areas of Client facilities and right-of-ways./liliRoutinely interface with the riding public, providing general information relative to use of the system and other necessary information./liliPrepare and submit security reports and provide assistance to investigators as required/liliParticipate in Special Enforcement Unit activities to include routine fare inspection sweeps (Compass Cards and paper passes), passenger counts, onboard and in fare paid zones and report accordingly./liliRespond effectively to all calls for assistance./liliMust be sensitive to clients culture and strive to maintain a positive client brand image./liliTreat Clients employees, invitees, and guest with the utmost courtesy and respect./li/ulh3Qualifications:/h3ulliMust possess an Exposed Firearms Permit/liliMust possess current guard card/liliMust possess a CPR/First-Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens Certification./liliMust possess a valid Drivers License/liliMust be 21 years or older/liliMay be required to perform emergency duties which require physical exertion such as: standing or walking for an entire shift, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying up to 50lbs. and running./li/ulpInter-Con Security Systems, Inc. is an affirmative action employer who provides equal employment opportunities to minorities, females, veterans, and disabled individuals, as well as other protected groups.
