Description:

Patient Account Specialist-Central Scheduler

The Patient Account Specialist Central Scheduler handles outgoing customer calls to assist patients with registration, including scheduling upcoming procedures, and processing surgery payments. This role involves close collaboration with medical insurance companies to verify policy information. This is an on-site call center position.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years medical office and registration insurance verification experience preferred. Bilingual preferred.
  • Education: High School or equivalent.
  • Requirements: Understanding of third-party payer requirements and healthcare billing. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Works, Excel, database, and patient accounting systems. Data entry and customer service skills. Collections and understanding of medical terminology preferred.
