Catholic Charities provides a comprehensive benefits package, including:/pulliCompetitive insurance coverage/liliGenerous paid time off/liliA retirement plan to support your future/li/ulpPosition Summary:/ppThe Security Supervisor is responsible for the daily oversight of the agencys physical security operations, as well as the protection of CCSN personnel, property, and any visitors to the property./ppEssential Responsibilities:/pulliRead, understand, implement, and enforce company policies and procedures as established by Human Resources./liliMonitoring all in-take procedures for the overnight shelter, to ensure that proper procedural steps are being followed as established./liliResponsible for responding to all assistance calls and making on scene decisions in the best interest of the organization./liliSupervises security staffing to ensure posts are being properly maintained, managed, and all security staff are representing the organization in a professional and respectful manner./liliResponsible for apprising CCSN management members of any and all serious incidents that occur on the campus./liliWill execute all directives given by the Security Director, Assistant Directors, and Department Manager in a respectful and diligent manner./liliResponsible for assisting and conducting investigations of misdoings and damages to agency personnel, property, and all clients who may reside or visit the CCSN campus./liliWill protect all confidential information, company property and electronic data./liliWill ensure that all company Safety procedures are being adhered to./liliResponsible for ensuring that scheduled staff are properly posted, for thorough security coverage for the property./liliWhen positioned in the overnight shelter they are responsible for the safety and security of all clients and staff within the shelter area./liliUse communication skills to defuse confrontational situations (Verbal Judo), resorting to physical restrain only as a last resort./liliAll other duties as required./li/ulpKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:/pulliAbility to actively listen, by giving full attention to what people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking appropriate questions, and respectfully not interrupting as information is being conveyed./liliAbility to comprehend and execute basic instructions./liliBasic proficiency in computers and software including Word, Outlook, and Excel./liliAbility to utilize critical thinking with the use of logic, in an effort to come to reasonable conclusions and alternatives in problem situations./liliAbility to verbally convey information effectively./liliPossess sound judgement and ability to work autonomously./liliAbility to record information and transfer to a basic written report./liliPossess excellent oral and written communication skills and leadership skills./liliPrioritize work and meet necessary deadlines./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliHigh School diploma/GED/plus a minimum of 2 years security experience is preferred./liliExperience working with and assisting Homeless clients./liliProficient in Customer Service and detail oriented./liliMust be at least 18 years old and possess a valid Nevada Identification or Drivers License./liliFlexible schedule to work after hours and weekends, as necessary./liliHonesty, Integrity, and Trustworthiness is essential./liliBasic- EMT Certificate preferred/liliCertified Security Supervision and Management (CSSM) preferred/li/ulpPhysical Requirements/pulliAbility to remain alert and effective during the entire shift in a 24/7 environment that includes internal and external patrols in all weather conditions./liliAbility to verbally communicate with clients, co-workers, and visitors to the campus./liliAbility to operate and use office equipment, especially computer, keyboard and mouse./liliAbility to continuously sit and/or stand. Ability to climb stairs as needed./liliMay occasionally lift up to 25 pounds./li/ulpThis position pays $20.00 per hour./ppCCSN is a drug free and equal opportunity employer.
