Overview TPC Summerlin is a private par‑72, 7,243‑yard golf course located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Carved by renowned golf course architect Bobby Weed, TPC Summerlin offers a visually stunning test of golf in Nevada.Responsibilities Assist in managing all aspects of the golf shop and golf operations staff, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and conducting performance reviews.Provide staffing, disciplinary, and compensation recommendations to the department head.Serve PGA TOUR players, members, and guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable golf experience.Assume management responsibility in the Golf Shop during peak periods and maintain service standards.Develop and conduct annual and semi‑annual employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions.Assist with employee development and training plans, providing input on promotions, transfers, or out‑placement.Plan and schedule labor—including golf shop and outside golf staff—to maintain golf operations and cost controls.Oversee outside golf operations: membership and guest services, practice facility, course advisors, golf car maintenance, bag storage, and club repair.Promote golf by teaching, conducting player development programs, and staffing club tournament events.Assist the Head Golf Professional with golf operations budget, golf shop operating budget, and budget line items.Maintain employee uniforms and name tags in proper condition.Prepare monthly merchandise reports and manage purchase order system.Answer telephones professionally and manage pace of play.Perform all functions of the Assistant Golf Professional II position as needed and complete special projects.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration, Business Management, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent.Three to five years of progressive professional golf experience in similar roles.Prior supervisory experience required.Working knowledge of golf course operations and practices.Registered PGA apprentice or current PGA Member in good standing.Physical Demands & Working Environment This position requires standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, using hands to handle or feel, and talking or hearing. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
