American Locker is a leading provider of smart locker systems built for maximum security.What You'll DoOwn Drawing & Release PackagesBe fully responsible for the preparation of complete drawing turnover packages before releaseEnsure all required documents are present, correct, and alignedCreate fabrication and assembly drawingsBOMsSpecifications and notesRevision history and release statusAct as the final quality gate before Engineering releases work to Manufacturing EngineeringEnforce internal drawing, BOM, and documentation standards; ensure consistent formatting, naming conventions, and revision controlApply release checklists to every package—no exceptionsMaintain drawing templates, standards, and best‑practice examplesWork closely with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to resolve:Missing dimensionsAmbiguous notesConflicting BOMs or specsCoordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to clarify release expectations and feedbackServe as the communication bridge between design intent and manufacturing needsSupport Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) by updating drawings and documentation accuratelyEnsure revisions are clearly communicated and traceablePrevent uncontrolled or partial updates; maintain clean revision history to avoid shop‑floor confusionIdentify recurring documentation issues and root causesPropose improvements to standards, checklists, and templatesHelp reduce engineering‑driven ECOs caused by documentation gapsRequirements1+ years experience in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineeringStrong attention to detail and documentation disciplineCAD experience with drawings and assembliesAbility to follow and enforce standards consistentlyStrong written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with sheet metal, welded, and fabricated assemblies is a big plusExposure to manufacturing environments is another big plusUnderstanding of basic revision control and ECO processesBenefitsA generous benefits package (Medical, Vision, Dental)401K with employer matchAccrued Paid Time OffAccrued Paid Sick LeaveEqual Employment Opportunity StatementAmerican Locker is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
