The Assistant Store Manager is a high-impact, sales-focused leader responsible for driving revenue, maximizing team performance, and delivering a premium customer experience. This role partners with the Store Manager to execute aggressive sales strategies, increase average ticket value, and ensure every customer interaction results in a confident, informed purchase.
This is not a passive management role—the Assistant Manager is expected to lead from the front, actively sell, coach in real time, and hold the team accountable to measurable sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
Drive store revenue by consistently meeting and exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
Maintain top-tier personal sales performance as a leader on the floor
Increase average transaction value (ATV) , units per transaction (UPT), and attachment rates
Identify high-margin products and push strategic selling initiatives
Execute promotions and sales campaigns with urgency and accountability
Team Performance & Accountability
Train, coach, and actively develop team members to become confident, high-performing salespeople
Set clear sales expectations and hold staff accountable to KPIs
Provide real-time coaching on the sales floor, including upselling and closing techniques
Address underperformance quickly with direct feedback and action plans
Customer Experience (Sales-Focused)
Deliver an engaging, judgment-free, and consultative selling experience
Confidently educate customers on products to drive larger basket sizes
Turn browsing customers into buyers through proactive engagement
Handle objections and close sales effectively
Operations & Compliance
Support daily operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and inventory control
Enforce strict adherence to age-verification policies and all compliance standards
Maintain strong merchandising standards that encourage impulse purchases and add-ons
Monitor shrink and enforce loss prevention practices
Leadership & Store Execution
Act as Manager-on-Duty when needed and ensure the store runs at peak performance
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and building a sales-driven team culture
Help create schedules that align staffing with peak sales opportunities
Communicate performance insights and opportunities to the Store Manager
Qualifications
2+ years of retail leadership experience with a strong focus on sales performance
Proven track record of consistently hitting or exceeding sales goals
Experience with commission-based or incentive-driven sales environments preferred
Strong ability to coach, motivate, and hold a team accountable
Comfortable working in an adult retail environment with professionalism and discretion
High energy, competitive mindset, and results-driven attitude
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs
Active presence on the sales floor for the majority of the shift
