Position Summary
Supports undeliverable ballot logistics by stacking and palletizing crates, shrink wrapping pallets, transporting ballots via pallet jack, labeling and preparing materials, and maintaining safe, accurate handling of ballot materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Stack, organize, palletize, label, and prepare crates or containers of undeliverable ballot materials according to County procedures.
- Shrink wrap pallets securely and verify labels, counts, routing, and staging locations before movement or storage.
Transport ballot materials using pallet jacks, carts, or other authorized material-handling equipment after training.
Maintain accurate records of materials moved, pallet contents, labels, staging areas, discrepancies, and completion status.
Identify damaged crates, missing labels, count discrepancies, safety hazards, or unclear instructions and escalate promptly.
- Follow safety practices for lifting, pallet movement, warehouse traffic, and secure ballot-material handling.
- Maintain ballot security, confidentiality, and professional conduct throughout logistics activities.
Required Skills and CompetenciesPhysical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly when needed.
Safety compliance and situational awareness in warehouse or logistics environments.
- Attention to detail when labeling, counting, staging, and documenting ballot materials.
- Team-oriented work style and ability to coordinate with warehouse, transport, and mail ballot teams.
- Reliability and ability to follow security and chain-of-custody procedures precisely.
Minimum Qualifications and Compliance Requirements- Valid Nevada ID or Driver's License.
Background check and drug screening required before assignment.
- Registered Clark County voter and willing to disclose political affiliation if required for the assignment.
- Must complete required warehouse safety and ballot-material handling training before assignment.
Schedule and Working Conditions- Warehouse/logistics work involving lifting, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, palletizing, and movement of crates or pallets.
May require work around pallet jacks, carts, vehicles, loading areas, and secure storage locations.
- Must be available to work through the election cycle with limited requested days off.
Must be available for schedule needs that may include 8-10 hour shifts, weekends, flexible start and end times, overtime, and extended hours on specific event days, especially Election Day.
- Must remain reliable, punctual, and responsive to assignment changes during a fast-paced, deadline-driven election environment.
- Must follow County security rules, workplace policies, chain-of-custody expectations, confidentiality requirements, dress code, and professional conduct standards.
Performance Expectations- Completes assigned work accurately, on time, and in accordance with training and County procedures.
- Maintains nonpartisan conduct, voter confidentiality, ballot security, and respectful service at all times.
- Escalates exceptions, voter issues, equipment concerns, safety concerns, and unclear instructions promptly to the designated supervisor or lead.
- Accurately documents work performed, materials handled, calls received, records updated, and/or batch activity as applicable to the assignment.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $17.00 Per Hour
