DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Commissary Operations Manager or Assistant Production Managers, this position is primarily responsible for preparing various ingredients for food preparation.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Cleans, cuts and slices vegetables for each production recipe* Prepares, chicken, meat and fish items (cooked and raw) for each production recipe* Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of own work area* Works in refrigerated environment during part or all of the day to handle other refrigerated itemsOTHER FUNCTIONS:* Performs various other duties in fulfilling assigned functions reflecting the same level of cooking skills and knowledge.QUALIFICATIONS:Physical Ability:* Able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis* Able to stand or walk up to 8 hours/day on a regular basisMental Ability:* Able to read and comprehend instructions written in the English languageDesired Attributes:* Able to apply "common sense" understanding in carrying out instructionsDisclaimer:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
