The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, invites applications for the Associate Vice President, Advancement Services.

The Associate Vice President for Advancement Services (AVP) is a key member of the Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement (PAE) leadership team and provides strategic vision, leadership, and oversight for the advancement infrastructure that supports fundraising, donor engagement, and alumni engagement. Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President for Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement, the AVP is responsible for leading a comprehensive Advancement Services operation that provides the systems, processes, data, communications, and donor-centered practices necessary to advance the University's philanthropic priorities.

The AVP has direct supervisory responsibility for Advancement Services, Prospect Research and Prospect Management, Donor Relations infrastructure, and the Advancement Communications and Marketing team. The position ensures that fundraising operations, prospect strategy, donor relations, stewardship, communications, and marketing efforts are aligned, data-informed, compliant, and donor-centric. The AVP plays a critical role in strengthening donor trust, minimizing institutional risk, and ensuring consistency between donor intent, financial reporting, regulatory requirements, and external messaging.

The AVP serves as a senior advisor to PAE executive leadership on advancement operations, donor engagement strategy, communications and marketing, data governance, and organizational readiness for major and comprehensive campaign activity. The AVP serves as the executive leader for the Foundation's advancement technology ecosystem, including Salesforce Education Cloud and related systems, analytics platforms, reporting environments, digital engagement tools, and related advancement technologies supporting fundraising, alumni engagement, donor stewardship, communications, and campaign operations. The position is responsible for the strategic governance, optimization, integration, and long-term roadmap of advancement technologies, ensuring scalability, data integrity, user adoption, operational efficiency, and alignment with institutional fundraising objectives. The AVP leads digital transformation initiatives, change management strategies, and business process redesign efforts that strengthen advancement operations and position the institution for future campaign growth. This role collaborates closely with Development, Alumni Engagement, Finance and Accounting, Internal Audit, and Information Technology to ensure that advancement policies, systems, and communications support fundraising effectiveness and institutional integrity.

The AVP provides day-to-day leadership, management, and strategic direction for a dynamic, multidisciplinary team responsible for the administration of core advancement operations for UNLV's PAE Division. These functions include Advancement Reporting and Analytics; PAE Technology and Database Management; Procedure Development and Documentation; Records Management; Prospect Research and Moves Management; Donor Relations, and Marketing and Communications. It will interact significantly in collaboration with accounting and finance for all gift processing and gift receipting functions, which have a donor stewardship and IRS implications. The AVP is accountable for enterprise leadership and governance of the Foundation's advancement CRM ecosystem, including Salesforce Education Cloud, and for the selection, integration, and management of all advancement technology platforms. The position serves as the institutional authority for advancement technology strategy, CRM governance, marketing technology integration, constituent data architecture, and advancement systems planning, ensuring technology investments support both current operational needs and future campaign growth. This role involves partnering with central IT and being a member of the larger CRM ecosystem across campus supporting the full lifecycle of UNLV constituents. The AVP ensures the ongoing optimization, data integrity, scalability, and effective use of systems to support philanthropy, alumni engagement, and institutional priorities, in close collaboration with central IT and campus and Foundation stakeholders.

As a member of the Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement Leadership Team, the AVP recommends and implements strategies that reinforce a culture of service and operational excellence, enhance stakeholder engagement, and strengthen philanthropic support for the University through coordinated data, systems, messaging, and donor-centered practices.

The Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement (PAE) fosters relationships with alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations and encourages private financial support for the students, faculty, research, and innovative programs that distinguish UNLV as an exceptional university.

This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a preference in business, information systems, data analytics, organizational design, or a related field. Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in advancement services, fundraising operations, CRM administration, advancement technology, analytics, communications, marketing technology, or related advancement functions. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible leadership experience directing multidisciplinary teams and organizational initiatives. Demonstrated success leading enterprise technology initiatives, CRM implementations, digital transformation efforts, organizational change management, advancement operations, and complex organizational projects. Advanced knowledge of fundraising systems, advancement technologies, analytics platforms, and constituent relationship management tools. Proven ability to optimize operational performance, support comprehensive campaign initiatives, and translate strategic objectives into measurable operational outcomes.

An advanced degree and Higher Education Advancement Services experience at a large public R1 university are preferred.

The salary range for the Associate Vice President, Advancement Services is up to $200,000. Salary is competitive with those at similarly situated institutions.
