The Retail Lead supports daily retail operations by guiding team members, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable cannabis regulations, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The Lead reports directly to the Manager, and may work under the operational direction of the Assistant Manager when the Manager is not present.

This role helps maintain efficient workflow across multiple service areas, including sales floor, cashier, fulfillment, and drive-thru operations. The Lead serves as a key resource for product knowledge, assists in resolving guest concerns, and promotes a positive, team-oriented culture in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Support daily dispensary operations by assisting with floor leadership and helping coordinate workflow across operational stations during assigned shifts.
    • Support operational coverage by rotating between stations, including sales floor, cashier, drive-thru, and fulfillment, based on business needs.
    • Provide guidance and support to Retail Associates to maintain high standards of customer service and operational consistency.
    • Serve as a resource for team members regarding product knowledge, operational questions, and service expectations.
    • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members, including demonstrating proper procedures and service expectations.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory by restocking products and monitoring stock levels.
    • Fulfill customer orders efficiently from online or in-person queues while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company procedures.
    • Address guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
    • Reinforce adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and cannabis regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain strong product knowledge to assist customers and educate team members.
    • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, professionalism, and accountability.
    Qualifications:
    • Must be 21 years of age or older.
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • 2+ years of retail, customer service, hospitality, or related experience preferred.
    • 1+ year in a lead or team support role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Passion for the cannabis industry and willingness to learn product knowledge and compliance requirements.
    • Ability to support team members while working efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Stand, kneel, and walk for an extended period of time.
    • Lift up to 30 lbs.
    • Bend, twist, and perform light physical labor.

    Work Environment:
    • Retail dispensary setting with designated sales floor, cashier, fulfillment, and drive-thru stations.
    • Frequent interaction with customers and team members.
    • Exposure to varying temperatures or loud environments, as applicable.
    • Fast-paced environment with exposure to varying temperatures, music, and scents.
    • No travel required.
