Description:

Roberts Communications Network, LLC ("RCN") is an established communications service provider headquartered in Henderson, NV, currently undergoing rapid expansion. RCN delivers round-the-clock television programming across various media distribution platforms in the USA, Latin America, and globally. Recently, RCN has bolstered its infrastructure with a cutting-edge broadcast facility spanning 70,000 square feet.

RCN seeks proficient professionals to join its customer service / technical support team. The customer service/ technical support specialist works within our Network Operations Center and is responsible for the daily operations and technical support for our live video streaming, digital archiving platforms, kiosk, and printers. They work closely with our Streaming and Software engineers, and frequently collaborate with our Broadcast Media, Networking Monitoring and management teams. This team is tasked with constructing and implementing critical continuous 24/7 monitoring and support for our growing clientele. This opportunity represents a full-time, entry-level position, with comprehensive on-site training provided for all associated job functions and responsibilities.

Hourly: $17

Responsibilities:

  • Use proprietary software to operate, monitor, and maintain a daily schedule of live streaming video feeds.
  • Provide and troubleshoot kiosk and printer services.
  • Use Windows based encoding software to create digital archives of each daily simulcast.
  • Analyze high volumes of archived video to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot web-based video streaming on PC, Mac, and mobile devices.
  • Work closely and efficiently with other technicians and departments.
  • Provide technical assistance to ensure smooth streaming experiences for users, addressing issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Respond to incoming customer inquiries via phone calls and emails.
  • Track customer issues and resolutions.
  • Escalate critical issues to Tier 2 Technicians for further resolution.
  • Maintain departmental documentation and prepare shift reports as necessary.

Essential Requirements:

  • Ability to secure requisite licenses for employment with RCN.
  • Availability for all shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Eligibility to work legally in the United States.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • One year of Customer Service or Technical Support experience in a network operation center
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  •  High School Diploma
  •  Exceptional verbal, written, and analytical abilities.
  •  Capacity to thrive in high-pressure settings, adept at prioritizing tasks.
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and desktop operating systems.
